Come work in a fast-paced high-energy office with opportunities for learning various aspects of the medical billing world. The University is a great place to work with great benefits. The position reviews and analyzes medical claims and billing edits to aid in claim resolution.
1.Research and review outstanding account receivables.
2.Review, update and correct patient information using various applications.
3.Follow-up (in-bound and out-bound phone calls, e-mail, regular mail) with insurance companies/patients regarding claim/payment status through our practice management system and reporting tools.
4.Research and obtain necessary documentation for insurance companies to process outstanding claims.
5.Organize and prioritize work to make sure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
6.Identify trends and issues; summarize results and escalate to supervisor.
7.Overtime may be required.
8.Other duties may be assigned.
This position requires two years of business office experience, with at least one of the years preferable in a health care setting or equivalency. 35WPMtyping, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required.
1.The qualified individual should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn new duties and work together with our existing staff as a productive member of our team.
2.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office strongly preferred.
3.Knowledge of medical industry, insurance billing, EOBs (Explanation of Benefits),CPTcodes and medical terminology preferred.
4.Effective verbal and written communication and human relation skills required.
5.Customer Service experience.
