The Division of Public Health in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine is seeking a faculty member with an earned terminal degree (MD, PhD, DrPH) and expertise in one or more of the five core disciplines of public health (biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, health policy and administration, and social behavioral science). The University of Utah delivers our CEPH -accredited Master of Public Health ( MPH ) program at our Salt Lake City and Utah Asia Campus ( UAC ) locations. This position will be located at our Utah Asia Campus in Incheon, South Korea.
The mission of the Division of Public Health is to advance the scholarship of promoting and protecting the health of communities in Utah and around the globe. For our mission of scholarship to be effective, we must collaborate with partners who utilize knowledge to impact the public’s health directly. Whether it is through research supported by the National Institutes of Health, engaged scholarship working with community partners, partnering with state and local health departments, or working with medical delivery systems, our role is to create, share, and support the implementation of public health knowledge.
This faculty position will require teaching, administrative responsibilities, and academic service, with the opportunity to participate in externally-funded research or practice. Candidates should possess an earned doctoral degree in public health or related field and have experience in an academic setting consistent with the rank of assistant professor or higher at the time of appointment. Faculty rank and salary level will be commensurate with experience. The University of Utah offers a competitive benefits package.
