Job Summary

Full-time opening with the University of Utah Motor Pool for individual with 4+ years training and/or related certification. Will maintain, service, and repair all manner of automotive, heavy duty, and related mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

Performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks on the journeyman level in maintaining, servicing, and repairing all manner of automotive, heavy duty, and related mechanical equipment. Ensures maximum use and operation from University vehicles through proper service and repair.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of an accredited mechanics program (ASECertification, Factory Certification, Accredited Technical school) and two years of shop experience; or 4 years of on the job training. Required to obtain a state safety inspection license, emissions license and air conditioning license within 6 months of employment. A valid driver license is required.

Demonstrated customer service skills; and oral and written communications skills.
