Job Summary

University of Utah Professional Education provides a wide selection of non-credit classes, certificates and academies designed to equip students with tangible skills that translate immediately into positive career impact. Programs are designed for individuals with a variety of goals including changing careers, advancing within their organization or gaining competencies for general professional development. Professional Education is part of Continuing Education and Community Engagement at the University of Utah.

The Professional Pathways program invests in creating sustainable initiatives that reinforce student and community connections to University of Utah. This is accomplished through innovative partner programs that primarily support individuals seeking to gain skills for professional advancement. Current programs include Degree Plus Certificate Series, Digital Badging initiatives and Academic Partnership Non-credit Certificates.

Responsibilities

Program Assistants will have the following responsibilities:

•Assist with program registrations and registration follow-up

•Assist with registered student engagement to influence yield

•Assist with program prospective student outreach

•Assist current students in the programs to raise student satisfaction and

retention

•Assist with marketing of programs including video chats, on-campus

marketing and social media marketing

•Assist in conception and creation of new marketing initiatives

•Other initiatives and assignments as needed

High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
