Job Summary

The Career Advancement Center is hiring a Program Assistant to support the leader and executive coaches to achieve program goals for the 3 part-timeMBAprograms (Executive, Professional, and Online). Our 500+ students, and hundreds of alumni, are our customers. This position is critical to the ongoing success of the Career Advancement Center.

Specific work will include 1) outreach to students and alumni to schedule and confirm meetings; 2) database updates, reporting, and analytics; 3) marketing projects and social media; and 4) support for student/ alumni seminars/ webinars and events.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

•Must be a current University of Utah student. We will not respond or interview you if you are not a student. High school diploma or equivalency required.

•Must be able to work close to 5 days per week most weeks. We are flexible with your class schedule.

•Outgoing, friendly personality with a very positive and customer-focused attitude and behaviors.

•Must demonstrate “ownership” and initiative for achieving outcomes.

•Critical thinking, common sense, and good judgement; not afraid to ask questions!

•Excellent verbal and written communications skills — in person, on the phone, and via email or social media.

•Ability to easily build relationships with all staff, students, and alumni – professionals in their early 20’s through executives.

•Ability to learn and use new databases and technology quickly, and create/ pull reports.

•Highly organized with ability to manage regular daily tasks to meet deadlines in conjunction with project work.

•Ability to follow established procedures, and recommend changes as needed to increase efficiency.

•Detail-focused and precise, especially for database work, calendar management and scheduling to ensure a quality experience and data about our students.

•Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferences

•Undergraduate business student. If you have marketing experience, that would be plus but not required.

•Customer service experience.

•Sales experience.

•Experience with and understanding of LinkedIn and Facebook functionality. Understanding of Salesforce.com, InDesign and Prezi are also desirable.
