Work Schedule Summary
Tutors will set their own regular weekly schedules within the available tutoring hours of the partnering site. At a minimum, tutors must work 2 days a week with a total of 4-19 hours a week. Tutoring sites are generally open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Helps the children experience success in intellectual tasks related to literacy. Reinforces and broadens concepts as presented by the teacher or in trainings. Observes behavior, documents and may offer suggestions to the teacher. May assist teacher in activities and tasks which contributes to an orderly, clean environment for children.
Meets one-on-one with elementary students at the community partner site. Utilizes resources taught in trainings to plan and execute lessons. Meets with the teacher and/or program staff to assist in catering to each student. Attends program trainings and meetings as offered.
High School Diploma, or equivalency; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are required.
The incumbent will be required to pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Background check.
