This position combines technical system administration with project leadership. The incumbent will integrate and support complex systems which provide core services to the organization and support our business systems. The person in this position will manage and administer servers, software and databases for a variety of applications including packaged applications and custom developed databases and applications.

The primary responsibility for this position will be the client management and configuration of the PC devices for the Hospitals & Clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, upgrades and manages server services and application software.

  • Provides high level troubleshooting support for server services and application software.

  • Proactively monitors and resolves problems with server services and applications.

  • Support all aspects of web and server-based application server.

  • Installs, upgrades, configures patch and support departmental applications.

  • Evaluates and manages web server and server application outages.

  • Creates and modifies databases as needed. Installs and tests scripts and systems.

  • Advises and consults on programming problems.

  • Conceptualized, designs and program complex systems and applications to enhance business processes.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Knowledge of Symantec Management Platform installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Symantec IT Management Suite installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Symantec Workflow installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Protection/McAfee Antivirus/Antispyware/EPO installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Symantec Endpoint Encryption/McAfee Endpoint Encryption installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting.

  • Ability to write advanced SQL queries.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Printing.

  • Knowledge of various printing functions within business and clinical applications.

  • Knowledge of application packaging and software delivery.

  • Knowledge of Citrix installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting knowledge of PNAgent, Receiver, Full PN Client, Web Interface and ability to teach appropriate troubleshooting techniques to junior members of the team.

  • Current knowledge and background in managing Microsoft servers in a complex heterogeneous environment.

  • Experience managing Microsoft IIS servers a strong plus.

  • Experience managing Microsoft Office SharePoint a strong plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Six years of equivalent experience.
