The neuromuscular division has an opening for a Staff Research Assistant. This individual will provide recruitment support for multiple research projects with a primary focus on peripheral neuropathy. This position looks for a confident, independent, and energetic person who can communicate confidently with clinicians, investigators, clinical staff, research staff, patients and the community regarding research study opportunities.
Developing a strong working knowledge of current protocols
Complete medical chart reviews
Discuss study protocol(s) and entry criteria to faculty, staff, patients, and community
Attend clinics daily for study recruitment
Attend health fairs and provide public outreach
Distribute study fliers and brochures
Track all recruitment activities and study metrics relative to study goals
Attend all study team meetings
Complete necessary trainings including but not limited toHIPAA,EPIC,CITIandGCP
Other research support as needed

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.
Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
One year research experience or equivalency; demonstrated organizational and communication skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. An understanding of research protocols and procedures preferred.
