University of Utah Health Office Support Coordinator in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

This position is responsible for coordinating the support activities within a department. The incumbent assists with financial planning, goal setting, policy and procedures planning and implementation. Also, the incumbent oversees the usage and maintenance of departmental resources.


  • Coordinates the daily operations of the office, including payroll and the ordering of supplies.

  • Handles confidential information such as files, records, and correspondence (composing of letters and memos).

  • Coordinates meetings and appointments.

  • Acts as a liaison between the department and other offices.

  • Prepares special reports as needed.

  • Reviews and reconciles department financial statements.

  • Assists with yearly budget preparation.

  • Provides support for department administration.

  • Acts as a resource regarding University Policy and Procedures.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills both in management and group decision-making.

  • Organizational, written and oral communications skills required.

  • Ability to keep and maintain all confidential records pertaining to departmental administration and operation.




  • Four years of experience coordinating a large and complex office environment, or equivalency.

  • Previous experience and working knowledge of budgeting, payroll, purchasing and personnel regulations.

  • A commitment to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications (Preferred):


  • Bachelor's degree in Management, or equivalency.
