We are looking for a hardworking and friendly student with a work-study award to join our team. This position provides assistance to the health education staff of the Patient and Public Education program at Huntsman Cancer Institute. This program supports the Cancer Learning Center and Community Outreach and Prevention Education (COPE) programs and works in one of the most inspiring places on campus.
1.Maintains the Cancer Learning Center library collection by shelving and organizing materials, checking book drops and assisting in inventories.
2.Restocks educational displays and brochure holders.
3.Assists in the preparation of educational packets distributed to clinics.
4.Prepares and inventories materials used in educational outreach events in English and Spanish.
5.Witnesses advance directive forms for the patients and their loved ones.
6.Verifies resources online and in the community.
7.Assists with special projects related to patient and community education.
Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the department and to aid in the professional growth of the employee.
High school diploma or equivalency required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
