Job Summary

Medical secretary to a busy Pediatric Surgery office/clinic at both Primary Children’s Medical Center and Riverton locations.

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to interacting with patients, performing both clinical and administrative tasks such as taking vital signs, answering phones, scheduling appointments, helping doctors and co-workers ensure that the patients have an exceptional experience. Very strong multi-tasking skills are essential.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and four years secretarial experience or equivalency required; knowledge of medical terminology; strong word processing and spreadsheet software skills; demonstrated organizational, human relations, and effective communication skills also required. Successful completion ofIDXScheduling,IDXRadiology, Powerchart, ORmis and Allegra training may be required within a department-specific hiring date.

Preferred: Two years of experience in a hospital, clinic or laboratory setting. Patient registration or related experience also preferred.

This position is not responsible for providing patients care.
