On Demand Care is a new venture within University of Utah Health, designed to address a broader range of immediate consumer services. These services include Urgent Care, Virtual Visits, Digital Health, and other innovative and consumer-centric business models. This is a dynamic space to innovate within as it continues to grow and reflect care models in a way that most fit the needs of the health consumer.
Under minimal supervision, the Operations Manager is responsible for On Demand Care operations, pertaining to administrative, financial, personnel, and organizational functions. Provides strategic support and leadership in planning, developing, and implementing new programs to advance the mission and goals of On Demand Care. Assist in evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures. Recommends changes when necessary and assist in implementation of new processes. Acts as a catalyst between the department and its customers and staff to ensure continuity and quality of service and care.
1. Forecasts, develops and implements policies and procedures in the areas of customer service, human resources and budgetary goals and objectives that are consistent with University of Utah’s policies. Analyzes process outcomes and workflow to ensure and identify efficiencies in productivity and savings.
2. Markets and promotes new and existing programs and services to internal and external customers.
3. Participates in University-wide committees to establish customer service standards and administrative plans and policies.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Four years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of assigned department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department.
Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.
