Job Summary

The Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking an Imaging Data Manager to support an expanding research program within Center for Quantitative Cancer Imaging (CQCI). The Imaging Data Manager will be responsible for managing the transfer, processing, quality control, archival, and regulatory compliance of all preclinical and clinical research images and related data that is acquired, processed, and/or analyzed inCQCI.

Responsibilities

The Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking an Imaging Data Manager to support an expanding research program within Center for Quantitative Cancer Imaging (CQCI). The Imaging Data Manager will be responsible for managing the transfer, processing, quality control, archival, and regulatory compliance of all preclinical and clinical research images and related data that is acquired, processed, and/or analyzed inCQCI.

The Imaging Data Manager will also provide support for operating and maintaining a variety of imaging workstations and computer systems including GE Advantage Workstation, NumaStore miniPACS, SiemensESOFT, Siemens Inveon Research Workplace, Macintosh Osirix, and InvCRO iPACs and VivoQuant.

Daily tasks will include

(1) Importing, transferring, and archiving medical images including the de-identification and coding of patients studies used in clinical research;

2) Quality control of preclinical and clinical trial images and related data;

(3) Completion of case report forms and other paperwork associated with clinical trial records

(4) Data entry and maintenance of clinical and research trial imaging databases; and

(5) Assessment and monitoring of regulatory compliance includingHIPAA,GCP, and 21CFRPart 11.

• Proficiency with Windows, Macintosh, and Unix operating systems

• Familiarity with database and spreadsheet programs such as MS Access and Excel

• Experience with computer data transfer and archival

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• High level of attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalency and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences

Successful applicants will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, physics, engineering, medical physics, biomedical imaging, or biological sciences

• High degree of computer competency

• Computer system management and programming skills in C, C++ or other languages is beneficial but not required

• Previous experience with medical imaging applications,DICOMimages, andPACSand other imaging workstations is highly desired but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who satisfy all other qualifications, skills, and abilities.
