The U of U School of Medicine is seeking a work study student to provide intellectual and technical support for projects undertaken by Dr. Boyd Richards, Director of Educational Research and Scholarship in the Vice Dean’s Office of Education. These projects center on scholarship stemming from learner and/or program evaluation and often include health sciences faculty with whom Dr. Richards is collaborating.
Preference will be given to those with experience in research and/or students majoring in a research-focused social and behavioral science program. Salary will be commensurate with the educational background and experience of the research assistant.
Primary duties will vary according to assigned scholarly projects but may include:
1. Input, manage, analyze, and report project-specific data using Access,SPSS, and/or Excel.
2. Coordinate logistics of project events and tracking of project activities.
3. Provide administrative support as needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work autonomously with supervision
Ability to work collaboratively with a diversity of faculty, staff, and students
Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities, manage multilple tasks, and complete assignments
Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Familiarity with Access, Qualtrics, andSPSSpreferred
