Prepares financial reports, conducts special projects, and provides financial analysis to all levels of management.
Prepares and interprets management information and other financial reports.
Participates in the establishment and maintenance of cost accounting systems.
May prepare and monitor departmental budget.
May provide training on financial issues or procedures or provide guidance to more junior staff.
Research – post award financial management and reporting
Prepares invoices and payment requests for Long Term Disability
Invoices for outside contracts
Prepares Department and Divisional financial statements
Manage updates, audits and certificates for malpractice insurance
Prepares monthly Journal Entries for malpractice, tenure support, rent
Oversees financial activity for the Global Surgery Division

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field or equivalency; plus two years of related experience. Also required are a thorough knowledge of established accounting principles and practices; spreadsheet and database skills; knowledge of statistics and demonstrated analytical,problem solving, human relation and effective communication skills required.
An advanced degree, such as a Master’s of Business Administration, is preferred. Certain positions may require familiarity with hospital billing systems, Medicare and insurance reimbursement regulations, etc.
