The Center for Disability & Access (CDA) at The University of Utah welcomes applications for a full-time Coordinator of Deaf Services / Disabilities Advisor. Responsibilities would include:
•Providing services and accommodations to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
•Recruiting, hiring and supervisingASLInterpreters and Real Time Captionists
•Coordinating and scheduling all campus interpreting services for University students
•Conducting intakes and providing services and accommodations to hearing students with disabilities such as learning disabilities,ADHD, psychological disabilities, physical disabilities and medical disabilities

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, special education, social work, counseling psychology, or rehabilitation counseling or equivalency; a minimum of three years experience working with adults who are deaf or have learning disabilities; the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of faculty, staff, and students; and writing and organizational skills required.
The ability to do program planning; and a working knowledge of the American’s With Disabilities Act (ADA) preferred.
Department Specific Qualifications
-Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
The successful candidate will have strong collaboration skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and demonstrated flexibility.
