Job Summary

TheMBAOnline program in the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business is seeking a talented, energetic professional to provide recruiting and admissions support in a fast-paced, professional, customer-focused and results-driven environment. Reporting to the Director, Online Programs for the David Eccles School of Business, the Coordinator, Recruiting and Admissions will collaborate with admissions and marketing staff on recruitment initiatives to drive enrollment growth for theMBAOnline program through the development of strategic recruitment and relationships with corporations and professional. The position requires extensive interaction with prospective and current students, alumni, faculty, vendors, and other School and University staff. This person must have strong communication and project management skills, be an effective team player, and excellent organizer to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Admissions/Recruiting (80%):

-Significant interpersonal communication with prospective students over the phone, as well as in-person and through e-mail.

-Meet with influencers at targeted organizations and present programs.

-Provide ongoing communication to prospective students and applicants and record engagements in Salesforce.

-Prepare records and maintain files on activities relating to recruiting, admissions and corporate outreach.

-Process student applications including communication, scheduling and participating interviews, arrange faculty contacts, and manage all incoming supporting documents.

-Answer phones and respond to initial student inquiries.

-Present at recruiting events, both in-person and online

-Plan, implement, and track registrations for recruiting events, such as small group dinners and webinars.

-Contribute to the improvement of the program as well as the streamlining of department processes and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities Include (20%):

-Serve as a resource forMBAstudents to answer questions and advise on issues associated with all components of the program.

-Accurately represent theMBAprogram and the university. Be responsible for making decisions (in partnership with the Director) related to running the program in an effective and conscientious manner.

-Work with Director on evaluation forMBAevents, new programs and other projects as assigned.

-Responsible for budget tracking, reconciling bills and billing them to the appropriate account.

-This position generally works independently although he/she may direct the work activities of one, or more part-time assistant(s).

-May assist in supporting other areas of department as needed.

-May be cross-trained in other programs in Executive Education department. Must be able to perform duties effectively and efficiently with little supervision and provide a high level of customer service to students, faculty and outside inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalency in a related area; one year of experience in career services, human resources, working in a campus environment or post college experience; a basic knowledge of employment policies, legal constraints and interviewing techniques; and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and effective communication skills required. The ability to manage time and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks are also required. A degree in a related area may include human resources, behavioral sciences, business or other relevant field.

Preferences

-Two-plus years of professional experience; strong familiarity with current trends in higher education,MBAprograms and business education, business and economic issues, and technology-based learning platforms.

-Experience in managing/supporting recruitment programs at a university, college or company; knowledge of general management curriculum, including familiarity with other institutions’ courses and programs

-Handle multiple tasks in an organized manner. Prioritize to ensure balanced and efficient workload. Produce high quality work with speed and accuracy.

-Work across cultures, collaborate and interact effectively and diplomatically with persons at all levels of organizations.

-Effectively demonstrate web-based technologies one on one and to groups.

-Interact with students and alumni with a focus of high quality service.

-Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and project management skills.

-Personal computer proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and willingness to learn new programs.
