Assists in marketing and communications initiatives to ensure effective internal and external communications. Primary responsibilities will focus on development and implementation of content on websites within the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Utah Health.
•Oversee the strategic outline of web content to achieve department and division goals.
•Coordinate with team of web editors to ensure up-to-date, useful, relevant content across sites; will often include writing, editing, and publishing content.
•Work with stakeholders (faculty, doctors, and staff) to ensure all website requests comply with brand standards and our branded website template.
•Ensure all content on website complies with brand standards.
•Update news feed regularly. Coordinate with U of U Health digital marketing team as needed.
•Support Department marketing and communications team in other initiatives as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related area, or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). One year of related experience and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
Demonstrated skill in writing and editing content.
Demonstrated skill in creating relevant content for different audiences.
Attention to detail.
Experience editing websites within a content management system.
Understanding of web-based best practices in writing for the web, content strategy, and UX.
