Job Summary

Do you have a love of Utah history, Mormon history, and/or the history of the West? If so, this position is perfect for you. As a Photograph Processor in Multimedia Archives, you will assist in the arrangement, description, and digitization of photograph collections related to these histories. You be part of a team dedicated to preserving these important histories.

Responsibilities

Assist senior staff with processing photograph collections housed in the Multimedia’s print and digital archives; reference desk shifts on regular schedule including some Saturdays; arrangement and description of collections based on standard archival practices; identification of items needing conservation treatments; assist senior staff with outreach exhibits and events; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of computer operations experience or equivalency required; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required. Previous customer service experience is preferred.

- Previous library experience.

Special Instructions Summary

Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled in 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours.
