Job Summary

Supports administrative operations and coordination of human subjects research studies for the Shoulder/Elbow team in the Department of Orthopaedics.

Responsibilities

1. Enters demographic information into a database.

2. Determines visit windows from protocol, schedules subject visits and sends visit reminders.

3. Organizes and prepares area for study related equipment and supplies.

4. Schedules and coordinates pre-study and monitor site visits.

5. Transmits Case Report Form data by fax, express mail, electronic data capture or other means dictated by sponsor.

6. Ensures study visits and procedures do not conflict with existing schedules.

7. May perform chart review to identify study variables.

8. Performs filing and other administrative task as needed.

9. May perform followup phone calls forIRBapproved studies.

10. May provide basic patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). Completion ofHIPAAPrivacy & Security training may be required within two to five days of hire. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
