Job Summary

This position is responsible for feeding the analytic life cycle by extracting, cleaning, and transforming data and data products into a visualization platform that can be leveraged by those who seek insight from enterprise data. Develops programmatic solutions in response to technical needs such that they meet requirements and design specifications. Accountable for organizing, managing, and storing data in a manner that facilitates business enablement and intelligence. Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently. Designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions. Must comply with all analytics design standards. Serves as a resource to and collaborates with the Quality Improvement Team to help clarify questions, develop proof of concepts for them and/or outline potential challenges and/or (data or BI capability) limitations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates and engages with subject matter experts and knowledge workers to support business projects
  • Creates graphics and visual representations that adhere to design elements and principles for professional quality.
  • Selects the appropriate tool to build original visualizations, images, and graphics.
  • Acts as a knowledge expert for one or more specific domains of data and understands the relationships to other data sources.
  • Maintains a structured process to describe the aggregate trends, features, and composition of a data set.
  • Designs and creates the appropriate processes and framework to Identify, capture,evaluate, retrieve, structure, and share enterprise information.
  • Performs data profiling and characterization techniques and can quantify data quality to describe confidence in analytic results

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education). At least 5 years of experience in applications systems analysis or in a related area required. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts.
